Following an operation for gall stones, Mrs. Elizabeth Guthrie of Linnsburg died at the Methodist Hospital at Indianapolis last Friday morning. She had gone to the hospital about the first of February but her condition was such that an operation was not deemed advisable until Monday of last week. Mrs. Guthrie spent her school days in Darlington where she was known to all as Lizzie Booher. She was named for her aunt, the late Betty Booher who was her father's sister. She was born in Paristown, Ill 42 yeares ago. Mrs. Guthrie is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Al Booher of Crawfordsville; her husband, Clint Guthrie, 5 children, the youngest is 14 and two brothers and one sister. For a number of years the Guthrie family have lived at Linnsburg where Mr. Guthrie is the Ben Hur Agent. Mrs. Guthrie was a prominent worker in the Mace M.E. Church and it was there that her funeral was held Sunday afternoon.
